Fifteen minutes north of Lexington, you will find Port Sanilac, which offers a great live theatre on the weekends in the summer. The Barn Theatre has been a community staple since 1980.

The Sanilac County Historic Village and Museum, on the same site, has many historic buildings – growing up, my sister always thought the place was haunted!
The on-site Loop-Harrison mansion does date back to 1872, so the house just might be haunted!

Twenty-five minutes to the west of Lexington, you can visit the Flynn Township Nature Center, where a few hiking trail options and fishing are available.
I wasn't impressed with the park, but it is an option if you want some hiking.
